One way to become financially independence I'm trying to make some extra cash on the Internet with a bunch of sites.

I started out blogging a couple of years ago, not with the intend to make money with it. Now days I just for hobby I own a couple of site, where I geek out some of the learning's from my work: SEO. I just love to try to get pages high up into the index on certain keywords.

Last year I blogged about a Dr. Phil show which was about the site: Sugardaddy.com (blog is in Dutch, but pictures speak a thousand words). A couple was in the show, and they told their story that they met on the site Sugardaddyforme.com. A remarkable story, as I didn't think there would be a market for that! Young women looking for a wealthy man to pamper them.

Apparently there is a big market for it, as I have seen quite a lot of traffic coming to my blog on the keyword: Sugardaddy.com. Based on these traffic numbers, I decided to put an affiliate link in the articles. I did this a couple of weeks ago, and didn't think about it anymore, until last week. A check came in the mail for my earnings with the Sugardaddy.com affiliate program. I thought, "this is great".

But it didn't stop there... Yesterday another check came into the mail. And when I looked at the reporting in the program, I see that I can expect another check next week :) This is a goldmine went through my head.

It does take time, but with ambition, self motivation and the desire to succeed you could be sitting on a goldmine.

Just wondering, you say you made $ by blogging and putting up an affiliate link to sugardaddy can you give a estimate on what type of % you are paid or amount you received in checks? Just curious if it is all worth it. I work full time and part time on weekends, have a child and I am a widow, so putting time off at night to do something like this to back off my regular work would be great, but again I would have to push myself to do this as I have little time and would do it,if I had an idea, but I would have to really know the % is worth it. Again just an estimate for the time frame and amount of funds, $500 or better etc.... Thanks for the info on the site.

You might be in the wrong niche. Do you know how many sites there are about making money online.
You probably are in a niche where there are more websites than there are readers.

Next to this, you just started. Your first post is of this months. Before you start making money, you first need to establish a reader base, and actually deliver value to your readers.
Why is it that they will come back to your blog, how are you monetizing the pageviews?

A lot of questions, but something to think about. You don't start making money overnight with a blog.
